A message from TTX members:

A Vision for the future: The people used to help each other without cause, without question. The system was designed to isolate us and I intend to break that system. It is no longer working for us, it is no longer protecting us. We will see a day where what America used to be will fall but we will rise. While the authoritarians are dismantling and destroying we are building and thriving. They may fall but we will rise.

Fern Mugwort: We are not here to wait for permission or reform. We're here to build power. We believe in creating our own safe spaces-- where people are protected, uplifted, and heard. We're committed to offering real tools: educational programs rooted in truth, legal resources without gatekeeping, and mutual aid that meets people where they are with no strings attached.

We start by listening to what the people need. Not what outsiders think they need, but what they say, in their own words, through their own experiences. Then we take direct, unapologetic action to meet those needs. No red tape. No delay. No compromise.

Most of all, we believe in consistency. This work isn't one rally, one post, one pamphlet. It's a movement. Our advocacy must be relentless. Our presence must be permanent. And our resistance must be rooted in deep love for our people-- and an unshakable commitment to justice.

The system won't save us. So we build together, fight together, and rise together.

Freedom Eagle: I've often felt alone, as though there was no one else out there who truly understood my experience. That deep sense of isolation opened my eyes to a broader truth and I realized that so many in our community feel unseen, unheard, and unsupported. I recognized a pressing need for someone to step up and speak out, to be a voice for the voiceless and a source of strength for those facing systemic injustice.

At Torch of Texas we stand alongside marginalized communities, advocating for those who have been silenced and overlooked. Through community gardening projects, we empower people to reclaim autonomy over their food and resourced, breaking away from systems that were never built with us in mind. We also raise critical funds to support individuals who are criminalized without fair process, helping to cover legal fees and provide the advocacy they deserve.

At our core, we believe in collective liberation, mutual aid, and building sustainable, self-sufficient communities rooted in justice, dignity, and care.
